Worship Encounter
We appreciate your interest in sponsoring a Worship Encounter with Father’s Heart Ministry. This fact sheet will provide you with details about hosting such an event. For more about how to book this event, please contact Father’s Heart Ministry. Because of the nature of a Worship Encounter, a limited number are offered each year.
A Worship Encounter is a three-day event designed to expose participants to a vision of worship that will stir an individual and collective passion for the presence of the Lord. It allows worship leaders, musicians and all members of the congregation to experience and practice principles and techniques that add depth and dimension to both private and corporate praise and worship. The evening worship gatherings will propel people into closer communion with the Lord. The daytime workshops are structured to identify problem areas leaders may be experiencing in their week-to-week worship ministries and serves to offer a wide variety of solutions.
- A Worship Encounter begins on a Thursday evening; runs all day Friday including an evening session; and concludes on Saturday afternoon. Daily workshops are for registrants only. Evening gatherings on Thursday and Friday are free and open to the public. (offerings may be received to re-capture Encounter costs)
- Registration at workshops averages 75 - 100 participants but is not limited in the number of people who desire to attend.
- A gathering space to comfortably seat this number of people, with an area nearby for refreshment breaks, is necessary. Most churches sponsor the event in a main sanctuary area or a sizeable multi-function room.
- Father’s Heart Ministry will bring all necessary sound equipment, and musical instruments as necessary. These arrangements may vary depending upon the resources of the host church.
- Registration is handled by the host church. Father’s Heart Ministry will provide customized promotional brochures, posters, and sample press releases/public announcements to be used by the host church. The cost of these materials is included in the Worship Encounter presentation fee.
- Each participant receives a Worship Encounter manual/syllabus, which is produced by Father’s Heart Ministry. The charge to the host church for this important resource is generally included in the over-all Encounter Presentation fees. (usually 75 - 100 manuals) Additional copies will be available for purchase by participants at the music/materials table sponsored by Father’s Heart Ministry for a charge of $12.00.
- Father’s Heart Ministry will bring additional print and tape/CD resources to be sold before and after each evening session, and during refreshment breaks. We will bring a selection of music and teaching tapes that, in our experience, have proven helpful to Worship Encounter participants. The host church is responsible for arranging a convenient location for the resource table; providing the necessary table and chair(s), and for scheduling a responsible person(s) to attend the table when it is "open." Craig will be available to give the needed instructions for this person.
- There is an established presentation fee to host a Worship Encounter, plus lodging, meals and travel expenses. This fee includes presentations conducted by Father’s Heart Ministry at all teaching and Encounter sessions, as well as production and printing of customized registration materials. After the Encounter has concluded, more manual/syllabus may be ordered through the mail adding a $2.00 shipping charge to the $10.00 cost. If lodging and meals can be provided directly by the host church, these particular expenses are eliminated. Generally speaking, hotels are preferred rather than a home for privacy purposes.
To help defray expenses, most churches charge a modest seminar registration fee to participants. Sometimes, several area churches will jointly sponsor a Worship Encounter, selecting a host church and sharing expenses among the sponsoring churches and participants. Also, an offering received at the evening Encounter sessions that are open to the public as well as registered participants, can help offset expenses for the host church. There have also been individuals who have given financial sponsorship as well which has served to relieve the cost for smaller churches with limited budgets.
- A deposit of $500.00 is necessary to book a Worship Encounter. This reservation fee helps cover expenses of printing customized registration materials for the host church. If it becomes necessary for a church to cancel a Worship Encounter less than six weeks before the scheduled event, one half of this deposit ($250) is non-refundable. The balance will be returned. A full refund will be given only if a cancellation is received more than six weeks in advance of the scheduled date.
